After Vysehrad, my teacher ended up cancelling our classes for the day, so my mom and I headed over to Old Town Square! She had seen the Easter Markets when I was in classes the day before, and I was eager to see the market!

There were hundreds of scattered booths selling painted eggs, wood carvings, flowers, embroidered cloths, jewelry, and food! Ribbons floated in the air, and children performed traditional Czech dances on the square stage. Springtime in Prague is unlike anything else!

In many countries in Europe, Easter eggs are hollowed out egg shells painted with many different colors and designs! They then hang them on trees outside their homes!

Petting zoo!!

After spending a while walking around the market, I took my mom to the famous book tunnel at Prague’s National Library! I think she should build one of these for her classroom!

We couldn’t have enough duck and dumplings this week, and ate a huge one for dinner!

Still not enough duck for us... CZECH DUCK IS THE BEST!

Surprisingly, after such a huge dinner, we still wanted desert! We headed below the bridge and found a waterfront restaurant for some strudel! Leading to the restaurant is the smallest street in Prague, and there is even a stop light since only one person can fit in the passage at a time. Rumor has it, a few years ago, someone actually got stuck in the tunnel. Thankfully, after the duck, we were still somehow able to fit through the street!

Dessert on the river!

The next morning, we moved our bags over to The Gingerbread Museum, where my mom was staying. It was the cutest place to stay, and we got welcome Gingerbread when we checked in! Within walking distance of the castle, it was the perfect place to stay. The smell of Gingerbread woke us up every morning, and the back patio overlooked the city!

What a view!

My mom’s friend Donna was coming in to visit her for the next few days, and is an artist! I took them to the artsiest restaurant I know, Luka Lu!

After lunch, we walked over to Our Lady Victorious Church, where the infant Jesus of Prague is on display!

Next stop...Charles Bridge!

If you touch the falling priest (St. John) on the plaque, you will come back to Prague! See ya soon!

I still always touch the statue, because I am determined to come back here some day!

Walked across the bridge and headed over to Letna Park! My mom and Donna had a little too much fun with the David Cerny statues…

I headed off to choir rehearsal, and they listened to our group practice! We actually sang outside to run through our set, and attracted a tourist audience walking through the area!
After dinner, we walked back up Petrin Hill to The Strahov Brewery! This brewery was opened by the monks in the 1500s, and all of the beer is brewed by them! (My favorite is the blueberry beer) Located underground, the restaurant is definitely one of the coolest places to eat in Prague. Since we walked up in the rain, we had the brewery all to ourselves!

I took this picture of Donna and my mom that makes it look like they were on a romantic candle-lit date! We laughed about it for a while!

Our last day together in Prague, we started off the day with some amazing crepes!

Headed off to the Prague Castle! We went inside St. Vitus Cathedral, and my mom loved the stained glass inside!

For dinner, we headed out to The Municipal House for our last meal! In 2009 my family went on our European trip and this was where we ate dinner our last night in Prague! At the beginning of the trip, the same accordion player was actually playing when I ate! He and his wife have been playing there for 11 years!
Mom finally got some Gulash and loved it!
