After about two and a half months apart, Zack came to visit me in Prague! We had been able to Skype and FaceTime throughout my time abroad, and it was awesome getting to see him life-sized again! (And not on a phone in the palm of my hand)
This kid drove 11 hours and then flew 10 to see me! The Trdelniks may have also had a bit of an impact on that journey.
I loved being his tour guide for the week! Throughout the next seven days, Zack and I traveled in Prague and went on day trips to Plzn, Vienna, and Dresden! The three posts on this blog will be based on which countries we were in, since it is impossible to put The Czech Republic, Austria and Germany in one post! (Also we have too many food pictures to count..)
This post is on The Czech Republic, and everything we did in and outside of Prague!
The morning he arrived, I met him at the airport and waited outside his gate with a coffee! The poor kid hadn't slept in 30+ hours, but arrived in Prague ready to adventure! First stop, Prague Castle!

Future album cover?

The next morning we took a bus to Plzn, Czech Republic, where the Pilsner Urquell Brewery is located!

We were able to drink unprocessed Pilsner straight from the barrel!

Finished off the day by eating at the biggest restaurant in the Czech Republic, in Plzn!

Another amazing brunch and coffee at Cafe Savoy!

We climbed Petrin Tower, an Eiffel Tower replica that is on top of a mountain overlooking the city!

View from the top, that's Prague Castle below us!

Up near Petrin Tower, there is a brewery that is operated by Monks! We stopped by to get dinner, and the restaurant was in the underground of one of the old cellars!

Traditional roast duck with potato and bread dumplings!

Tredelniks for dessert, anyone?
