Ice Festival and our first European SuperBowl

The morning of the SuperBowl, my roommates and I headed over to the Galerie Harfa for the Prague Ice Festival! The Ice Sculpture Festival is the largest ice sculpture festival in the Czech Republic, and is on the roof of the shopping center Galerie Harf! Unfortunately, we got there on the last day of the festival, so a few of the sculptures had started to melt, however the festival is free to the public, so we knew we would still have money for nachos! The theme of the festival was "World Leaders," so of course, Czechs made sure to take another stab at Trump!

There was also the Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Finance Minister Andrej Babis.

We went back through the mall on our way down, and there was a woman playing the harp! She was super talented, so we stopped to listen!

We had gotten reservations a few days before at The Globe Cafe for the SuperBowl! The cafe has a bookstore in the front, and a coffee shop in the back, so it was definitely a unique place to watch the SuperBowl! The Globe sells all American books, and is popular with study abroad students and Americans, so they hosted a viewing on a projector of the game! And don't worry, they had all the typical American game foods! (Because the SuperBowl is about food and funny commercials right?) The game actually started at midnight our time, so it was definitely the latest any of us had stayed up for football! Our entire choir came, so it was so much fun!

It was our roomate Shannon's 21st birthday at midnight, so we made sure to surprise her in the apartment with balloons and cake!

Alec from our choir turned 20 the day before, so he was also part of the celebration!

What a fun day with great friends! Glad we didn't miss out on the SuperBowl, and American chicken wings and shakes!
